What organisers ask before putting an app in front of their attendees.
What is a mobile event app?
A mobile event app is the phone-side of an event platform. For attendees it carries the agenda, the speaker and session details, the attendee directory, messaging and their ticket or QR code. For organisers it carries the working tools — scanning people in, watching registrations and attendance as they happen, and pushing an announcement when something changes. EventTitans runs both roles from the same event data, so there is no separate app to build or populate.
Do attendees need to download an app to use it?
They can, and the EventTitans app is available on iOS and Android. But nothing in the attendee experience is gated behind an install — the ticket, agenda and QR code all work from a phone browser, so somebody who will not download an app for a two-day conference is not locked out.
Can organisers run the event from the app too?
Yes, and this is where most event apps stop. Organisers can check attendees in by scanning, look at live registration and attendance numbers, manage sponsors and stakeholders, and send push announcements — from a phone, on the floor, instead of from a laptop in the back office.
How does the AI matchmaking work?
Once someone registers they join the event community, and matchmaking suggests people to meet based on the interests and preferences captured in their profile and registration answers. The point is to shorten the distance between two attendees who should meet but would otherwise never find each other in a hall of a thousand people.
Can attendees exchange contact details in the app?
Yes. Attendees swap details with a digital Biz Card instead of paper — scan a QR code or share the card over WhatsApp, and the contact lands in their list already structured. It works the same whether the other person is an attendee, a speaker or an exhibitor.
Can I send push notifications during the event?
Yes. Push notifications go out for session reminders, room changes, delays and any announcement that cannot wait for an email to be opened. They can be sent to everyone or to a segment, which is what makes them usable for sponsor messages and track-specific updates rather than only for emergencies.
Does the app work for virtual and hybrid events?
Yes. Attendees can follow presentations, join webinars and vote in polls from their phones, so a remote audience gets the same agenda, networking and engagement tools as the people in the room rather than a stripped-down version.
How is attendee data kept secure in the app?
